OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Every design service starts with an in-depth consultation to learn about the vision and project goals. 

We'll discuss your inspirations, your story and discuss your overall budget.

Design Director, Dalit Dray, will meet you at the project location or via zoom - if not local.  

For Virtual E-Design: 

We will provide a step-by-step guide to provide field measurements and photos + videos of the space we will be designing. 

Our goal is for you to leave our consultation feeling confident and excited about what's coming next.

After the Design Consultation and interview process, our next phase is the Conceptual Design Stage! This step is essential when creating a home that feels complete and cohesive and will speak to the design we create. 

The design team gathers all the information and begins to put together a design based on the client's lifestyle, functional, spatial, room size, budgetary, and aesthetic goals for each area. 

A thorough exchange of information between client and designer will continue to take place. The goal is to present the client with a Conceptual design mood board and layout plans, 

Once approved, the Schematic Design Phase will begin.

For Virtual Design 

After receipt of your questionnaire answers, field measurements, photos + videos, we will begin to 

to create a mood board concept and layout plan that will guide the direction of your space. We then get your approval on both items to ensure that we are on the same page before we begin sourcing. 

 Once the vision + layout plan has been established, the design creation takes form! This is where we build on the approved conceptual design concept, begin the selection of furniture, textiles, fixtures, colors and materials and create a realistic 3D rendering of your space. 

For Virtual Design 

After approval of mood boards and direction to move forward, a further developed plan, elevations and sourcing will be prepared.

Once a design directive has been approved, the Designer will further develop the floor plans, interior elevations, millwork design, etc. The Design Development phase includes development of full scope interior design drawings, detailing, schedules, full coordination with the client's architect and engineering teams / consultants

Once construction begins, Dray Design Group will provide on-site project management and coordination with the General Contractor, millwork vendor, subcontractors, and client to ensure that the design integrity is maintained.

The fun part! Sourcing and Procurement and final Installation to tie in the entire design!

For Virtual E-Design: 

We will provide a step-by-step guide to install all items, not including construction, with layouts for all furniture, artwork, etc.
